The affordability of benchtop GC/MS has improved dramatically in the last decade, yet careful evaluation is still key in making the best purchase decision. The system you choose must meet your immediate needs for sensitivity, precision, and sample throughput. And, the system must meet these requirements in the future, when the demands on your laboratory have changed.
How do you secure for the future? How do you guarantee continued success? How do you stay ahead of technology obsolescence? The Saturn 2200 answers these questions with the CP-3800 GC and the 2000 Series Ion Trap MS! These components create a platform for the world’s most versatile GC and flexible MS. Both deliver unequaled performance — a Saturn tradition. Both components support a remarkable array of highly productive, easy-to-use options. Under Saturn Workstation control, complex configurations become very simple to operate.
The Saturn 2200 is the platform that easily expands and evolves to support your continued success.

Frontier Lab Carrier Gas Selector CGS-1050Ex
This device allows for easy switching between carrier gases, useful for thermal decomposition analysis in air atmosphere. An inert gas such as He is generally used for the analysis and carrier gas for pyrolysis GC (Py-GC). However, recently air is often used as a carrier gas for pyrolysis analysis in research of environmental pollution control. Theoretically, air can be used in the present devices, but it requires professional expertise and careful modification of devices. The device, “Carrier Gas Selector” allows switching of gases such as He and air interchangeably while it is connected to the device.
Frontier Lab Micro Jet Cryo-Trap MJT-1030Ex
A cryo-focusing device that traps low-boiling-point compounds by liquid N2 cooling in GC oven. Nitrogen gas flows through a heat exchange coil immersed in liquid nitrogen to liquefy it, and then the liquified nitrogen is sprayed as a jet flow onto the head of the separation column in the GC oven to cool and trap the analytes there. The cooled area is then rapidly heated by circulating heated air in the GC oven for thermal desorption. The MJT-2030E with new specifications now has a digital display of the nitrogen pressure gauge value, making it easier to adjust the nitrogen gas flow rate. In addition, the end of the liquid nitrogen introduction tube has been modified to a U shape, making column installation easier.
Frontier Lab Single-Shot Pyrolyzer PY-2020iS
Pyrolysis is used for macromolecular and other non-volatile materials. When a sample is rapidly heated (<20msec) to high temperatures, chemical bonds are broken. The resulting fragments are chromatographically separated, producing a pyrogram. The pyrogram is used to characterize the nature of the original sample.
Frontier Lab Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer EGA/PY-3030D
High-end model of the “Multi-functional Pyrolyzer” series with high performance and ease of use. Multi-Shot pyrolyzer (EGA / PY-3030D) is the most capable model in the Multi-functional Pyrolyzer series. This product features high performance and ease of use, from the basic performance of the heating furnace to the details of the control software. By combining with optional accessory devices such as automatic analyzer (Auto-Shot Sampler), MicroJet Cryo-trap, Selective Sampler, Carrier Gas Selector, so on, the product supports a wide variety of applications. In addition, these operations can be automated, greatly enhancing productivity.
